Privacy Policy — IptvBox Play
Google Play edition · Effective date: July 11, 2026
This policy covers IptvBox Play, the Google Play edition of IptvBox (package com.iptvboxplayer.app). It is a media player for IPTV playlists you provide yourself. The app includes no channels, streams, or subscriptions of any kind.
1. What the app processes
- Your playlists and provider credentials (Xtream server/username/password, Stalker portal/MAC, M3U URLs) stay on your device. We do not receive or store them on our servers.
- Google account (optional — only if you enable Cloud Sync): we use Google Sign-In to obtain your email, name and account identifier, shown as your "signed in as" label. Cloud Sync then stores your app settings backup in a hidden application folder inside your own Google Drive (the
drive.appdatascope). This data lives in your account; it is not uploaded to us. By default, provider passwords are redacted from that backup unless you explicitly opt in. - Anonymous diagnostics & support: a randomly generated installation ID (never your IMEI/phone number), device model and app version are sent to our server for aggregate statistics, crash reporting (opt-out available) and to deliver support replies you request from inside the app. Crash logs are stripped of credentials before sending.
- Device identifier for anti-abuse: the Android ID is used only to enforce per-device blocks against abuse — never for advertising or profiling.
2. Payments
Premium features are unlocked through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled by Google — the app never sees or stores your card or payment details. We do not run any other payment or donation mechanism in this edition.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data. Third parties involved are limited to: Google (Play Billing, Sign-In and Drive — your cloud backup goes into your own Drive) and, only if you manually search for subtitles, OpenSubtitles. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
4. Security
All communication uses HTTPS/TLS. Your cloud backup is protected by Google Drive's own security within your account.
5. Deleting your data
You can delete your cloud backup at any time from Settings → Backup & support → Delete cloud data. You can also revoke the app's Drive access from your Google account settings, or request deletion of any server-side diagnostics/support records by emailing us. See our data deletion page.
6. Children
The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.
